Ben is a Senior Developer specialising in software and web application development, with a focus on building scalable platforms using Laravel.
Ben is a full-stack developer with over 20 years’ experience building web applications, primarily for startups, SaaS companies, and small teams. As part of the team, he works across the entire stack and is just as comfortable contributing to product direction as he is writing the code to deliver it.
He communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping to shape project direction, weigh commercial considerations, identify risks early, and translate business requirements into practical, buildable solutions.
Ben’s experience spans early-stage MVPs through to long-running platforms that continue to evolve years after launch. He places strong emphasis on engineering fundamentals that support sustainable software, including clean data models, sensible architecture, thoughtful testing, and maintainable code.
His primary framework is Laravel, paired with React on the frontend, and he also brings extensive experience with Symfony. Within the team, Ben plays a key role in delivering robust, end-to-end builds where strong technical leadership is essential.
Aside from work, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, watching or playing rugby, and working on hands-on projects—from car builds to 3D printing and drones.
